Susan Viccars

We are excited to welcome back the talented local artist, Susan Viccars, to our Pop Up space. Susan enjoys painting a wide range of subjects using both watercolour and acrylics.

For this show, she is showcasing vibrant watercolours of gardens and flowers, with a special focus on Garry Point Park. In celebration of Easter, Susan has also created charming wooden block miniatures of bunnies. Her classic Steveston Heritage Building paintings on wood blocks are always a beloved and popular addition to the show.

Donna Gregory Wood and Sali Rogers

Donna is returning to our Pop Up space to share her passion for bird photography. Great Blue Herons and Bald Eagles are among her favourite subjects, and she loves capturing their beauty both through photography and in oil and acrylic paintings.

She will be featuring a stunning selection of greeting cards and framed prints.

This is Sali Rogers’ first time exhibiting in our Pop Up space. A passionate artist from a young age, Sali began painting pet portraits in Steveston in 2016, driven by her deep love for dogs. Working primarily in acrylics, she creates lifelike and charming paintings of not only dogs, but also cats and other animals.

She will be showcasing a beautiful selection of greeting cards and framed prints.

Vendors, join us this summer at the Steveston Vintage Fair. Our vintage and “upcycled” artisan market is perfect for sellers of good quality antiques, vintage collectables and upcycled artisan creations.

Denise & Jeremy Nichol

We are excited to welcome back mother and son visual artists, Denise and Jeremy Nichol. Their distinctive mixed-media artwork combines oil and acrylic painting with 3D creations featuring beach glass.

Jeremy Nichol, a West Coast-based artist, has been dedicated to expanding his artistic vision. His work spans a wide range of interests, from historical to contemporary, and he utilizes various mediums such as oil, gouache, egg tempera, and pen.

Denise Nichol studied visual arts at the University of Regina. She is a self-taught painter whose work is influenced by her love of travel, nature, and the diverse flavours of different cultures. An avid beachcomber and collector of beach glass, Denise uses her art to communicate and share the beauty of nature with others, exploring a wide range of subject matter.

Art Lodge

I’ve lived in the lower mainland my entire life. For a number of years I worked at a print shop on River road in Richmond. My wife of 38 years, worked in Federal Employment Programs helping Steveston fishermen adapt to changes in the industry. I’m a member of the Richmond Arts Coalition.

I started creating 3D designs on the beach using driftwood, sea glass and beach rock. It was part of a morning meditation practice. When a local artist discovered my work she encouraged me to take them home and mount them. I’ve had success at craft fairs, online and at a local boutique and galley. Suzanne Basnett

I am a local Richmond resident and have been working with clay since 2012 when I took my first wheel throwing class. Two years later I set up my home studio in a shed in my backyard in Steveston. My pots are primarily thrown on the wheel, but lately I have been exploring slab building and combining the two processes.

I strive to make pots both functional and beautiful to be used and enjoyed every day.

I am a member of and very active with Richmond Potters Club, Fraser Valley Potters Guild and Potters Guild of BC.
