Gather friends, family and loved ones to welcome the holiday season with the second instalment of the Songs in the Snow series at Steveston Museum. Starting Saturday, December 1 at 4 pm in Town Square Park next to the museum, enjoy festive cheer as local community groups come together to perform favourite holiday music.

Presented by the Steveston Historical Society, the City of Richmond and the Richmond Arts Coalition, Songs in the Snow is a three part series that will continue on Saturday, December 8 and 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. Visitors are invited to explore displays, create vintage-style Christmas crafts and take the perfect selfie in the illuminated park.

“After the enthusiastic reception of Songs in the Snow last year, the Society is excited to work with our partners again this year on this winter celebration,” says Linda Barnes, Chair of the Steveston Historical Society. “The Richmond Arts Coalition brings musicians and performers, the Girl Guides carol in period costume, G&F Financial Group sponsors the hot chocolate and more – it’s a real community event.”

Everyone attending the series will have the opportunity to donate to a different local charity each evening. On December 8 and 15, local artisans will also have their designs for sale to help visitors source that perfect present.
