Arrival of the S.V. Titania Mural Unveiled for Canada 150

Vignettes actors with Director Michael Chiu at the Mural Unveiling

Steveston Village has welcomed a new mural to town!

In honour of Canada’s 150, the City of Richmond commissioned the painting “Arrival of the S.V. Titania” by world-renowned maritime painter John M. Horton. This painting is on display at City Hall.

Mural artists Dean and Christina Lauzé skillfully reproduced the painting on the south wall of the Steveston Hotel next to Fisherman’s Park. The painting was unveiled as part of Culture Days weekend on October 1, 2017.

Our vignettes actors were on-site to add to the ambience of the event. Congratulations to everyone involved in this beautiful and historic piece of artwork.
