Pop Up Artists set up for November!

November Pop-Up Artists are listed as Bea Martin, Sarah Glen, and Tanya Bone. Examples of their work are shown.Bea Martin

Bea has been a painter, nature sketch artist and urban sketcher for the last 12 years and has filled dozens of sketchbooks documenting her travel adventures. Her illustrations, murals, public artwork, and nature drawing workshops aim to connect people with nature and with themselves.

When she is not travelling and sketching outdoors (or making bread), she is a character animator and nature drawing educator.

Bea is also the proud recipient of the 2024 Richmond Arts Award in Arts Education.

Sarah Glen

Sarah Glen is a multi-media artist based out of Richmond and Parksville, British Columbia.

Sarah’s illustrative art style interprets the sights and experiences from her adventures in the inspiring Pacific Northwest, often explored via canoe!

Tanya Bone, OPA, SFCA

Tanya Bone is a Steveston, BC resident who was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.  Later, living in Vancouver, British Columbia, she methodically pursued her art training while raising a family, and working in her profession at that time as a Paralegal and Crown Prosecutor Assistant.

Tanya completed art studies at Emily Carr College of Art and Design, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and the Federation of Canadian Artists in Vancouver, B.C.  Later, under the tutelage of Jeffrey R. Watts, she completed a full term at Watts Atelier of the Arts, San Diego, CA.

Tanya works with traditional media and classical methods to induce a re-appreciation of time-honoured realism. She creates realistic images that touch upon timeless and universal themes. Rural subject matter often finds a place in her paintings as she says, “time and again my inspiration comes from my happiest childhood memories of days spent on my grandparents’ farm”. Tanya’s work has been exhibited and represented in art in galleries in Canada and across the United States. Her work is in private collections throughout North America and in collections in England, France, Ireland, Germany, and Australia.

Her work has appeared in such publications as American Art Collector, Art of the West and Art Avenue and she has received a large selection of awards and recognition in Canada and USA including the Federation of Canadian Artists Awards of Excellence and multiple prizes in International online competitions. Tanya is a Signature member of Oil Painters of America and Senior Signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. In 2024 Tanya was honoured to be invited as one of five jurors for the prestigious Oil Painters of America National Juried Salon Exhibition held in Indianapolis, Indiana.  In 2022 she was appointed as one of the five jurors as an adjudicator for qualifying submissions of the 2022 OPA Eastern Regional Exhibition.
