Jennifer James and Tom D. Taylor Share Pop Up Artist Space for November

Come and visit the November pop-up artists at the Steveston Museum & Post Office! A percentage of all art sales goes towards SHS programs and events that support our community.

Jennifer James is a multi-textural artist who started her art journey from the time she could hold a crayon. She is fascinated by the spiritual significance of birds as can be seen in her cherished creations of a series of pottery bird women. Jennifer’s love of sewing and creating sculptural art allowed her to use up leftover fabric and create beautiful fabric birds. In addition, this talented individual is also an encaustic artist who uses wax to carve and build up layers making her paintings more 3D.

Tom D. Taylor is a talented local artist mainly working with Acrylics, Gouache, Watercolours and pencil. Tom’s love of painting was fuelled when living at a young age in Northern BC. Tom attended BCIT and graduated with an Architectural Design Major. While pursuing his business career, Tom continued painting and drawing at home and now focuses the majority of his time to art.
