## Susan Viccars

A local Richmond artist, Susan lives and creates in beautiful Steveston. Using her
art to capture what she is experiencing while travelling and when closer to home
makes for awareness and connection to nature and the human landscape. Susan has
drawn and painted since she was very young. Prior to retirement, Susan worked as
a teacher in the Richmond School District. Eight years of her teaching career were
spent as an art teacher at McNair Secondary. Since retirement, Susan enjoys painting
with the Richmond Artist Guild & Men in Hats and the South Delta Outdoor Painters.

As part of Richmond’s Public Art Program, you can see a permanent installation of
Susan’s paintings on wrapped electrical boxes at No. 5 Rd and King Road. Earlier
in 2023, Susan’s artwork was featured on a lighted street column at the Aberdeen
Canada Line Station. To see more of Susan’s work, along with her modelling and acting
