### Co-Chair – Linda Barnes

Linda is a retired city councillor working to make the SHS the thread connecting
many societies in Steveston. “Living in Steveston is like living in a small town,
where people know and help each other. Sometimes we squabble but that’s because 
we care about the people and village we live in.”

### Co-Chair – Joanne Teraguchi

Joanne joined the SHS to help maintain the small town atmosphere and historical 
feel of Steveston. She has lived in Richmond for 45 years, her husband grew up in
Steveston and Richmond. Her grown children still live in Richmond and are raising
their children here.

### Treasurer – Melissa Zhang

Melissa and her family have lived in Richmond since mid 2005. She is an avid volunteer
and has served in executive roles with the Vancouver Fraser Lions Club; Richmond
Cares, Richmond Gives; Richmond Christmas Fund; the Richmond Sister City Advisory
Committee; Steveston Historical Society; and United Social Services Society. She
is an experienced independent financial advisor.

### Nikki Barnes

Born and raised in Richmond, you might find Nikki riding her bike along the many
dyke trails! She worked at Tourism Richmond for ten years as a marketing manager
and was also on the Audience Engagement Committee at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery.
Nikki hopes to contribute what she can to raise the profile of SHS, all while keeping
the “village vibe” atmosphere strong.

### Cheryl Grattan

Cheryl notes that Steveston has grown and changed over the 18 years she’s lived 
in the community, and has seen it become a major tourism destination. She has extensive
work experience in the tourism industry, both at Pacific Coastal Airlines and Whistler
Mountaineer. Also an avid volunteer, she has served at the Steveston Community Society,
both on a Program Committee and on the Board of Directors.

Cheryl is proud to be part of the Steveston Historical Society who works to promote
the past and embrace the future!

### Jackie Newton

Jackie has lived in Steveston for 15 years. She enjoys the small town atmosphere
and hopes to assist in the preservation of the history which makes Steveston so 
unique and special.

### Marie Boyer

Marie has made Steveston her home since 1999. She delivered the mail for over a 
decade in Steveston, and recalls the old days when cattails lined the ditches on
her route. Lunch break would usually find her at the Moncton post office/museum 
lunch room, where the local pioneers were often there to share their many stories
of Steveston’s history. She joined the SHS to keep heritage conversations going 
amongst old-timers and newcomers alike.
